The inaugural exhibition at the Humberto Delgado Center, “Torrejanos da Liberdade” (Freedom Fighters of Torres Novas), pays tribute to all those in the municipality of Torres Novas who, in one way or another, fought for freedom, from the dawn of republicanism to the resistance against the Estado Novo dictatorship. The first exhibition at CHUDE is also a call for the joint construction of a memory of resistance. Knowing that this is a work in progress, everyone who visits the exhibition is invited to contribute names and stories of resistance.
