Children’s Story Cycle 2026 – Musical Performance “Moon-Eyed Girl”

From March 22th at 10:30 until March 22th at 12:30

In March, the Gustavo Pinto Lopes Municipal Library continues its Children’s Story Cycle on March 22 with the presentation of the musical performance “Moon-Eyed Girl”, inspired by the book Menina Olhos de Lua by writer and illustrator Dina Sachse, evoking the aesthetic and imagery of Japanese legends.

Featuring original music by Pedro Louzeiro, the work is performed live by an ensemble of eight musicians and a narrator/singer, under musical direction, combining storytelling, singing and instrumental accompaniment throughout the narrative.

The visual component, built from the author’s illustrations, is projected in dialogue with the music and the spoken word. This creates a sensory and artistic experience for both children and adults, presented by Bolsa d’Originais – Associação Cultural, and will include Portuguese Sign Language interpretation.

The performance begins at 10:30 a.m. and is aimed at children aged 3 and over. Participation is free, but prior registration is required, with limited capacity, through the link:
