Sports Congress

The fifth edition of the Sports Congress, taking place in 2026, brings together 11 municipalities from the Médio Tejo region in a programme dedicated to reflection and debate on the different dimensions of sport.

Abrantes, Alcanena, Constância, Entroncamento, Ferreira do Zêzere, Mação, Ourém, Sardoal, Tomar, Torres Novas and Vila Nova da Barquinha are taking part in this edition, strengthening a strategy of intermunicipal cooperation focused on promoting knowledge and training and recognising sport as a driver of regional development.

From 18 September to 3 October, the Congress will present a decentralised programme, with sessions taking place across the 11 municipalities. The programme will address different areas and perspectives on sport and feature the participation of experts, professionals and other stakeholders from the sector.
