Music // Meeting of Philharmonic Bands from the Municipality of Torres Novas

The Meeting of Philharmonic Bands once again brings together several bands from the region in Torres Novas to celebrate the philharmonic tradition and its cultural and social role within local communities.

The event encourages fellowship, the sharing of experiences, and the appreciation of the region’s musical heritage, highlighting the diversity of repertoires, the importance of music education, and the preservation of this long-standing tradition.

This year’s edition features performances by Banda Operária Torrejana, Banda do Centro Recreativo e Musical do Outeiro Grande, Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Euterpe Meiaviense, Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica Lealdade União Ribeirense, Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica União Matense, Banda da Sociedade Filarmónica União Pedroguense, Banda da Sociedade Musical União e Trabalho, and Banda da Sociedade Velha Filarmónica Riachense.

This event is part of the VOLver collaborative cultural programme.
