Within a community marked by the Entre-os-Rios tragedy, João and his father make a living from lamprey fishing. However, the low profitability of the business, the ghosts of the past, and the father’s erratic behavior may lead to their separation. It is with the neighbors next door that João finds an unlikely family and his only hope for a different future.
