Municipal Firefighter Day marked with activities open to the public

The Municipality of Torres Novas will celebrate Municipal Firefighter Day on May 4th with a set of initiatives aimed at the entire community. The activities will take place at Praça 5 de Outubro, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with free admission.

The program includes several recreational and educational activities, namely a zip line, foam room, vehicle exhibition, ladder truck ascent, canine demonstration, and practical cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) sessions. These initiatives aim to promote closer interaction between the community and firefighters, as well as raise awareness about the importance of prevention and the acquisition of basic emergency response skills.

The event is organized by the Municipality of Torres Novas, in partnership with the Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários Torrejanos, reinforcing public recognition of the essential role these professionals play in protecting people and property.
