A Palm and a Half, by PSP Symphonic Band

From October 25th at 11:00 until October 25th at 11:35

The Public Security Police (PSP) has been holding “Palmo e Meio” concerts since 2013. These concerts, performed by the PSP Symphonic Band, are free and aimed at children between the ages of 1 and 6.

These concerts are not exclusively children’s music, but rather moments of musical expression that aim, above all, to spark young children’s interest in musical notes and the instruments used.

There will be a small number of police officers, they will be in uniform, and they will perform with flute, saxophone, clarinet, French horn, double bass, percussion, and other instruments to bring smiles to the faces of families.

They will be few, but they will be worth many because music is part of our lives, and for about an hour, the discovery of sounds and instruments promises to transport us to a fantastical world where all babies and children are genuinely happy.

The band’s professionals interact with the children in a relaxed environment, allowing them to see the instruments and perceive them as a source of sound and communication.

Music | Ages 3 and older | 35 min + audience discussion at the end | Free admission, with advance ticket collection, limited to 4 per person
