Network Visit – “Partnerships in Museums: A Matter of Survival?”

On September 8, the Carlos Reis Municipal Museum will host the meeting “Partnerships in Museums: A Matter of Survival?”, a day of technical visits and discussions for professionals from different areas of cultural heritage, as part of the Network Visits programme, an initiative of the Portuguese Museum Network.

The main objective of this meeting is to promote the sharing of knowledge and experiences, while building connections between professionals and institutions to strengthen collaborative networking.

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Carlos Reis Municipal Museum, learn about its facilities, operations and museum branches, as well as the Villa Cardílio archaeological site and the Castle of Torres Novas.

Programme

9:30 a.m. – Welcome to participants | Cerca da Vila (Amphitheatre)

10:00 a.m. – Visit to the Central do Caldeirão

10:30 a.m. – Coffee break | Educational Services Room, Central do Caldeirão

11:00 a.m. – Guided visits (registration required)

Option A: Carlos Reis Municipal Museum (Casa Mogo) + Cerca da Vila – Archaeology Centre

Option B: Villa Cardílio + CHUDE (Humberto Delgado Centre)

1:30 p.m. – Lunch | Castle of Torres Novas

3:00 p.m. – Castle Keep | Debate: “Partnerships in Museums: A Matter of Survival?”
