Children’s Storytelling Series 2026 – The Great Race

The 2026 Children’s Storytelling Series, organised by Torres Novas Municipal Library, concludes this year’s programme with “The Great Race”, a production artistically directed and performed by Catarina Requeijo, inviting children and families on a fun adventure about persistence, imagination and overcoming challenges.

The session takes place on Sunday, 8 November, at 10.30 am and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Participation is free, but registration is required via the form available at https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/2A2YdN2vjF?origin=lprLink.

“Manuela is ready at the wheel of her wonderful car to take part in the great race. But along the way, unexpected obstacles put her imagination — and, above all, her persistence — to the test. Will she make it to the finish line? And fulfil her dream of victory? There’s only one way to find out: follow this great race and cheer on Manuela, because there really is no one quite like her!”

Artistically directed and performed by Catarina Requeijo, “The Great Race” brings to a close a year of activities dedicated to promoting reading and creating cultural experiences for children and their families, reinforcing the Municipal Library’s role as a place for gathering, discovery and cultural enjoyment.

In January 2027, the Children’s Storytelling Series returns with new stories and activities for young audiences, continuing the Municipal Library’s commitment to promoting reading and strengthening culture’s role as a vital, active part of public life.
