Youth Weekend in Torres Novas

From 11 to 13 September, Torres Novas will host a Youth Weekend featuring a programme that brings together sport, music, training, volunteering and social activities.

Throughout the three days, the Municipal Swimming Pools and Tennis Courts will be open to the public. Young people can also take part in futsal, basketball and volleyball tournaments, a DJ workshop, a sunset event, training sessions and volunteering activities.

On Friday, 11 September, a DJ workshop will take place at the Municipal Swimming Pools from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Jardim das Rosas will host a sunset event with DJ Nuno Bruno.

On Saturday, 12 September, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Jardim das Rosas will host the “Young People Who Save Lives” activity, focusing on the importance of calling 112 correctly, basic life support techniques and how to respond in emergency situations. The initiative is organised with the support of the Torres Novas Delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross.

Also on Saturday, Largo General Humberto Delgado will host the 4×4 Futsal Tournament, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On Sunday, 13 September, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a volunteering activity to clean the River Almonda will take place along the urban section of the ecological corridor, starting at Moinho da Cova. The initiative aims to encourage young people to participate in preserving the natural heritage and creating a more sustainable environment.

Also on Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the 3×3 Basketball and 2×2 Volleyball Tournaments will take place in the park at Largo General Humberto Delgado.
