“Who You Were, Who You Are” marks two special milestones in 2026: Jel’s 30-year career and the 20th anniversary of the iconic TV show Vai Tudo Abaixo, which gave rise to unforgettable characters such as Carlinhos, Machista Gay, Ruce, Homens da Luta and Wanderley. In his second solo stand-up comedy show, Jel revisits these memories, shares behind-the-scenes stories and reflects, with his trademark irreverence, on the changes in the world, in Portugal and in himself over 30 years of career and 50 years of life. A must-see performance.

Jel, the stage name of Nuno Duarte, is a musician, comedian, director and producer from Lisbon. He became known for his characters and sketches on SIC and RTP, for the bands Homens da Luta and Kalashnikov, and for the character “Tio Jel”. His stand-up blends observational humor and storytelling with irony and sarcasm, making him one of the most recognized comedians in Portugal.
