Series of lectures with Martim Sousa Tavares

From March 8th at 16:00 until November 28th at 21:00

Following the short course ‘The Open Book of Art,’ which took place in 2024, conductor Martim Sousa Tavares returns in 2025 to the Gustavo Pinto Lopes Municipal Library programme with a series of four lectures he designed specifically for this library, its readers and its audience, entitled ‘Art, beauty and meaning through time.’

In these lectures, which begin on 8 March, the conductor and communicator will address aesthetic, artistic and philosophical issues, crossing the various arts throughout the ages and in different artistic disciplines.

Martim Sousa Tavares is the conductor of the Orquestra Sem Fronteiras and the Orquestra do Algarve, Artistic Director of the Sintra Festival and author of hundreds of cultural communication moments across all media, from television to radio and podcasts. He is also the author of the book ‘Falar Piano e Tocar Francês’ (Zigurate, 2024).
