Exhibition «Formas de Vitalidade Negativas» by Carlos Flor Dias

From October 24th at 16:00 until December 31th at 16:00

The Gustavo Pinto Lopes Municipal Library will host the exhibition “Negative Forms of Vitality” by artist Carlos Manuel Flor Dias from October 24th to December 31st, 2025.

Born in 1957, with a degree in Sculpture from the Lisbon School of Fine Arts (ESBAL) and a master’s degree in Sculpture from the Caldas da Rainha School of Arts and Design (ESAD.CR-IPLeiria), Carlos Flor Dias presents in this exhibition a set of works that engage in critical reflection on the contemporary world.

The exhibition raises an essential question: “What path is this that transforms the human being into a worldless being, in which knowledge—manual, existential, and social—is deliberately discarded?”

Without seeking to provide definitive answers, “Negative Forms of Vitality” offers a space for questioning and alertness. It is an invitation to reflect on the growing collective blindness that is silently taking hold and that it is important to recognize and confront.

More than an art exhibition, it’s a moment of awareness and dialogue between the work, the artist, and the audience.
