Readings to breathe and imagine – World Anti-Bullying Day

From October 11th at 11:00 until October 11th at 11:35

The Gustavo Pinto Lopes Municipal Library will host another “Readings to Breathe and Imagine” activity on Saturday, October 11th.

As part of World Anti-Bullying Day, children are invited to discover the book “The Ugly Duckling” by Hans Christian Andersen.

This story reflects the difficult moments in the author’s life, as he faced humiliation until he found recognition. Born into a humble family, he moved to Copenhagen at the age of 14 to pursue a career in theater. In the story, the Ugly Duckling is rejected for his appearance, but in the end, he reveals himself to be a beautiful swan. The tale sensitively addresses the issue of bullying and teaches us that, even in moments of rejection and isolation, we must maintain hope of finding our place in the world.

Starting at 3:00 PM, the initiative is aimed at families with children aged 3 to 8. Registration is free, but mandatory and limited, and can be completed via the link: https://forms.office.com/e/3t1mduS3fp?origin=lprLink.

This activity is part of the “Readings to Breathe and Imagine” series, which uses Tibetan sound instruments to create a tranquil atmosphere that fosters children’s imagination and tranquility.
